Night of Microtheatre
Microtheatre has been thriving for years, and Seville is no exception.
On October 9th at 21:30 at the Lady Drama Indie Rock Bar, three 20-minute microtheatre plays directed by El Tendedero Teatro will be performed.
Tickets are priced at €8, so get ready for a night of laughter and entertainment.
“In the Voice of a Woman” Concert Series
The Altavista Foundation presents the “In the Voice of a Woman” concert series once again:
- Consuelo Barroso (October 10th).
- Laura Marchena (October 24th).
- Julia Halcón (October 25th).
- Rocío Soto (October 31st).
This series aims to highlight the importance of women in Seville’s music scene.
The concerts take place at the Valentín de Madariaga and Oya Foundation, located on Paseo de las Delicias, close to the historic center of Seville. Tickets cost €12, and in previous years, the concerts have started at 19:00.
Cirque du Soleil
On October 27th, the “Alegría” show by the renowned Cirque du Soleil concludes, providing a fantastic opportunity to purchase a ticket and enjoy this spectacular event.
The theme combines a power struggle in a kingless realm with the hopes of the youth. The iconic music, stunning acrobatics, and vibrant sets are not to be missed. Additionally, it’s one of the company’s most original and oldest shows, dating back to 1994. If attending with children, note that the show lasts about two hours.
This event takes place in the Cirque du Soleil tent, near the famous Charco de la Pava. For tickets and schedules, it’s recommended to check the website, as prices vary by day and time.
Candlelight Concerts
These concerts have become extremely popular throughout Spain. They are intimate recitals performed by various ensembles across many musical styles, all under the enchanting glow of candlelight.
In October, these concerts are held at various locations in the city:
- On October 6th at 21:00, a “Tribute to Queen” by a string quintet will be held at Hotel Alfonso XIII. This tribute will also occur at the same place and time on October 10th.
- On October 18th at 19:00 and 21:00, “Tchaikovsky, The Nutcracker, and More” will also feature a string quintet and a dancer at the Global Omnium Auditorium (Seville Aquarium).
- On October 26th, “Vivaldi’s Four Seasons” will be performed at the former Hospital de los Venerables.
Ticket prices range from €20 to €50.
La Noche en Blanco
La Noche en Blanco in Seville will take place on October 4th. It involves a comprehensive cultural program that runs through the night and is entirely free.
There is an extensive list of places to visit that day: Museum of Fine Arts, Seville Cathedral, Archive of the Indies, Church of El Salvador, Bucarelli Palace, Monastery of San Jerónimo, and more.
There are also other activities, such as a visit to the CruzCampo Factory to see how beer is made, a creative pottery workshop, or an encounter at the Museum of Illusions. Bienvenida Music Festival
The Bienvenida Music Festival takes place on October 4th at the Cartuja Stadium starting at 19:00.
This event celebrates the start of the university year in Seville, where partying, music, and fun create a very welcoming atmosphere.
It’s a great opportunity if you want to experience the university scene for just one night.
Tickets are priced at €24.
