The best Christmas markets in Málaga you can’t miss

In this post, you’ll find the most popular Christmas markets in Málaga, perfect for enjoying the festive atmosphere, finding unique gifts, and tasting the typical Christmas flavours.

Plaza de la Marina

This market is located in the heart of Málaga, very close to the city’s port. It was inaugurated in 2019 and has since become one of the most visited markets by locals and tourists alike.

It consists of 25 wooden stalls distributed in two areas. The first is dedicated to food products, where you can sample and buy typical Christmas treats (polvorones, chocolates, mantecados, etc.). The other area focuses on crafts, fashion, wooden toys, and all kinds of Christmas decorations for your home.

There’s also a carousel for children and various workshops (clay modelling, photography, face painting, etc.) to keep them entertained while you shop.

The exact opening date is not yet confirmed, but based on previous years, it will be open from early December until Epiphany. Opening hours are from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Muelle Uno

Muelle Uno is one of Málaga’s most iconic open-air shopping centres, located by the sea. For Christmas, it hosts a very popular market. The location is unbeatable, combining a festive atmosphere with a seaside backdrop.

Ready to explore Winter Wonderland? This special edition features renowned Málaga brands such as Floristería Capricho, Pepe Pinreles, and Quesos Cabraline, showcasing typical products from Málaga.

You’ll also find traditional stalls selling clothing, jewellery, and all kinds of Christmas items.

The Muelle Uno Christmas market includes free children’s workshops with qualified supervisors to ensure the little ones have a great time. Additionally, with every purchase at any of the participating brands in Wonderland, you’ll receive a VIP pass for your children to skip the queues at activities.

This market has been rated as one of Europe’s best sunny Christmas markets by European Best Destinations.

Parque de Málaga

The Paseo del Parque in Málaga transforms into a Christmas market, making it one of the oldest in the city. Just a 10-minute walk away, you’ll find our lockers in Carretería to store your purchases.

This is the perfect place to find unique and quirky gifts, as most of the items and products here are characterised by their originality. You can also choose from a wide range of handmade decorations to make your home’s Christmas decor stand out, including nativity scenes. Other highlights include artisanal items such as jewellery, handbags, hats, and natural cosmetic products, as well as books.

At night, the market is beautifully illuminated with colourful lights, creating a magical atmosphere. A red-lit bus also serves as a photobooth.

Visiting the Parque de Málaga market is an excellent opportunity to shop for all kinds of Christmas gifts. The stallholders also provide personalised advice to help you choose the perfect items for your loved ones.

El Corte Inglés in Málaga

El Corte Inglés is always a key player during Christmas, especially with its famous Cortylandia. In Málaga, it holds greater significance as the company itself organises a market on the outskirts of the city centre.

This is a great plan for enjoying time with your partner, family, or friends, as the area is full of activity, joy, and music. El Corte Inglés offers high-quality products, including unforgettable gifts, unique decorations, and sweet treats sourced from all over Spain. The market features a nativity scene, the famous Sweet Shop, and a gourmet food stall.

Notable brands at this location include Disney, Lego, and Nestlé, alongside local names like Panadería Salvador, Cerveza Victoria, and 1880.

Once you’ve finished shopping, try one of the food trucks in the area. We recommend GOXO, La Pequeña Habana, or Cañitas Maite.

This market opens on 28th November and runs until 5th January. Opening hours are from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
