Discover the Best Shopping Route in Málaga

Málaga has everything you need, so we encourage you to read on and plan the route that best suits your preferences.

Calle Larios

Calle Larios is the most famous street in the city and one of its main arteries. It is considered one of the most elegant streets in Spain due to its 19th-century architecture and has been pedestrianised since 2002.

Heading to this famous street, you’ll find yourself in the heart of Málaga amidst a throng of tourists. As such, many national and international brands have set up shop here, including Zara, Mango, Stradivarius, and Massimo Dutti, among others.

On this street, you can also find shops that are local landmarks:

  • Casa Mira, one of the city’s oldest ice cream parlours, opened in 1890. We recommend trying the nougat ice cream.
  • Joyería Marcos is the ideal place if you’re looking for luxury watches and jewellery. It opened its doors over 80 years ago.
  • Pastelería Lepanto has become a staple in the city’s history. Try their delicious coffee accompanied by any pastry or sweet!

Near Calle Larios, you’ll find our locker at Carretería. Take advantage of this to leave your purchases and continue enjoying the centre of Málaga.

Muelle Uno

Since its opening in 2011, Muelle Uno has become one of Málaga’s most important commercial, leisure, and dining areas due to its location by the sea and proximity to the historic centre. It also offers one of the most attractive panoramas of the capital, making it an ideal place for a stroll at sunset.

Among the notable shops at Muelle Uno, you can find Lacoste, Primor, and Deichmann. Additionally, during the Christmas season and on weekends, there are artisan markets where you can buy all sorts of accessories and complements.

This shopping area also offers an interesting selection of dining options: KFC, Burger King, and the only Hard Rock Café in the province. At LOCK & enjoy!, we’d also like to highlight the José Carlos García restaurant, the first in Málaga to earn a Michelin star. If you’re a fan of rice dishes, we recommend the Cambara restaurant.

Málaga Plaza Shopping Centre

The Málaga Plaza shopping centre is located right in the city’s urban centre. It’s the ideal place if you prefer to do all your shopping in one location without having to travel too far.

It’s also very close to our locker at María Zambrano. Being near María Zambrano train station makes this shopping area easily accessible on foot, by car, or via public transport.

Málaga Plaza is notable for its lighting, as most floors are well-lit with both artificial and natural light.

Among the most famous stores, you can find Primor, Tedi, Kirola, and Narbona Solís. However, the highlight is the Fnac store located within the centre.

In terms of dining, there is only a Burger King and a Goiko, but there are a variety of cafés perfect for an afternoon snack. There is also a hair salon and a gym.

Larios Centro Shopping Centre

Despite its name, Larios Centro is not located on Calle Larios and is about 20 minutes from the urban centre. It was one of the first spaces to combine shops, cinemas, and restaurants since it opened in 1996.

Larios Centro houses the largest Primark in Andalucía, as well as an Eroski and a Disney store. Other popular stores among locals and tourists include Levi’s, Benetton, and Tiger.

It has extensive opening hours, from 09:00 to 22:00, Monday to Sunday. You can drive there as it offers 1,500 parking spaces.

El Corte Inglés

At El Corte Inglés in Málaga, you can find everything from books, clothes, technology, furniture, gourmet products, to décor and so on. It’s the perfect place to do all your shopping in one go. We recommend exploring each floor at your leisure to find exactly what you need.

After your shopping spree in Málaga, head to the Rincón del Gourmet, a culinary space near the centre that caters to the most discerning palates with products like French wines or Iranian caviar.

This complex consists of two buildings connected by an underground passage and is one of the largest in Spain. El Corte Inglés is open from Monday to Saturday, from 10:00 to 22:00.
