Cat Mountain
In early 2024 this magical enclave was opened to the public after 20 years of closure. It is located inside the park of El Retiro and was built in the 19th century by order of King Ferdinand VII. The name of this place is due to the fact that in the past it was the place where the felines of Madrid were sheltered.
It is an artificial mountain that until its closure was used as an exhibition hall. In it there are a series of small paths with gardens in ascending slope and surrounded by ponds on which there are a series of artificial waterfalls.

Another of the most striking issues is that they work with products brought directly from the garden and also for their commitment to zero waste. So much so that in 2022 they decided to dispense with the use of ice to save energy.
We would like to point out that in 2021 it was listed as the best cocktail bar in Spain. It is located in the center, more specifically in Calle de la Reina, 4.
Dining in a chapel?
If you are one of those who prefer more original and different plans, we encourage you to visit Caluana; it is located very close to the main square of the capital.
The menu is a mixture of flavors between Italian and Spanish cuisine, provoking an authentic fusion in the palate of every customer who decides to visit this original place.
Likewise, the hall is located in a chapel that was part of the old Temple of Santa Cruz and, later, was the first headquarters of the Madrid Stock Exchange.
