Best Places for a Shopping Route in Benidorm
Benidorm is known for its extensive nightlife and magnificent beaches. But there’s more; the city has several shopping areas where you can buy everything you need, whether for your holiday or as gifts. So, continue reading to learn about the most relevant stores and the most active places.
La Marina Shopping Center
Located on the outskirts of Benidorm, specifically in the area known as Cala de Finestrat. It’s a 10-minute drive from Benidorm, but you can also take the tram, as there’s a stop right behind the shopping center.
It’s the ideal place if you prefer to do all your shopping in one spot. You’ll find all the major clothing brands such as Bershka, C&A, Calzedonia, Décimas, Desigual, Zara, Mango, among others. Additionally, there’s Druni, Don Dino, and Game.
La Marina Shopping Center also offers a wide variety of dining options and cinemas for a complete day of entertainment.
We’d like to point out that just a few minutes walk from La Marina, there’s also a Carrefour and a MediaMarkt in case you’re interested in buying technological products.
Levante and Poniente Promenades
These are the two most important promenades in Benidorm and where all tourists converge. Therefore, it’s the quintessential commercial area of Benidorm, as well as where most bars and restaurants are located because they are situated right on the beachfront.
On both promenades, there are stores of all kinds, but clothing and accessories shops dominate, as well as beach gear and souvenir shops. Most items are very reasonably priced, making it a popular area for families and tourists.
At LOCK & enjoy! we recommend visiting the promenades on different days because they are lengthy, and it can be quite exhausting, especially if you’re with children. Plus, it’s also a good opportunity to enjoy Benidorm’s great weather while walking close to the sea.
Markets
The markets in Benidorm are another commercial attraction, as people from other towns also come to the city to shop here. There are two that are worth explaining in a bit more detail.
The Hotel Pueblo market, also known as the Rincón de Loix market due to its location; it’s the most frequented by the local population because it’s away from the city center. It takes place on Wednesday and Sunday mornings and is known for a wide variety of high-quality, economically priced clothing, as well as fruits and vegetables.
In the Foietes area, also away from the center of Benidorm, another market is located near the Guillermo Amor sports city. It’s only open on Wednesdays from 08:30 to 14:00. Among its most outstanding offerings are fruits and vegetables from nearby towns, most of which are leading figures in the agricultural sector. In any street of Foietes, you can find numerous bars and restaurants for lunch and a rest stop during your shopping route in Benidorm.
Les Nits del Castell
During the summer, there’s a popular night market situated at the famous Balcón del Mediterráneo or Benidorm Castle, called Les Nits del Castell.
It mainly focuses on handmade products (necklaces, bracelets, pendants, etc.). However, what stands out are the numerous painters who create portraits or caricatures, making for one of the most unusual souvenirs you can take home from Benidorm.
Moreover, summer nights in this small walk are magical because of the good weather and usually live music groups to enhance the experience.
El Rastro
Also known as Rastro del Cisne among the locals. It’s located on the outskirts of Benidorm, specifically on the N-332 road, on the edge of Benidorm’s municipal limits. It’s open only on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 08:30 to 13:30.
This market is unique because it consists of small stalls where all kinds of second-hand products are sold (furniture, clothes, crafts, books, etc.). There is also an antique dealer inside which can be described as a true vintage temple, as most of its decorative elements are very eye-catching.
There’s a very cozy restaurant with all kinds of dishes at affordable prices, as well as a small bar for having a beer with a tapa, either at the bar or seated. We’d like to highlight that there is live music during lunchtime at the restaurant.
At LOCK & enjoy! we recommend that you let yourself get lost in the market, as there are stalls that will surprise you with their products and the charm that surrounds them.
