Once you finish your excursion, we recommend you also enjoy the bars and nightclubs in Benidorm, as it is one of the most important nightlife areas in Spain.

Valencia

The city of Valencia is just 2 hours from the centre of Benidorm. If it’s your first time visiting the Valencian Community, take advantage of the proximity to explore Spain’s third-largest city.

If you leave in the morning and return at night, you have a full day to visit the city’s great historical and artistic heritage, such as the City of Arts and Sciences, Valencia Cathedral, or the historic centre.

There are buses that depart directly from Benidorm, so you’ll need to head to the bus station. There are frequent departures to Valencia throughout the day, and the round trip costs around €40. It’s the only transportation option, as there is no train line.

Kayak and Snorkelling in Jávea

The town of Jávea has become a major tourist attraction in the province of Alicante, particularly for its coves and the quality of its water. This has also allowed for numerous activities such as kayaking and snorkelling.

Kayak excursions start at the famous Cala Granadella, a true natural paradise with crystal-clear waters. From there, you can paddle along the coast of Jávea to enjoy spectacular views. This is where you’ll find most of the coves, caves, and grottoes, many of them unknown, for snorkelling.

The activities last about 3 hours, with a 2-hour round trip.

For booking this excursion, we recommend Civitatis, as they are the leading company in guided tours and excursions, not only in Spain but worldwide. Another option is to book directly with one of the companies operating on the beaches of Benidorm.

Villajoyosa

The town of Villajoyosa is just 12 kilometres from Benidorm, about a 15-minute drive.

The most recommended option is to take the tram that connects the entire Alicante coast, as it is the fastest and most economical choice. In 20 minutes, you’ll arrive in this town, with a cost of €1.45 per person.

It’s a very picturesque town, as both the houses in the historic centre and those along the beach promenade are painted in bright colours. Walking through the town centre is like a journey back in time with its narrow, steep streets. Once you’re done, head to the beach to enjoy the promenade and its numerous bars and restaurants offering local dishes such as rice and fish.

Additionally, in Villajoyosa, you will find the Valor Chocolate Museum, the former chocolate factory of this nationally renowned brand, which is one of the landmarks of this wonderful town. The final part of the museum is the Valor shop, where you can purchase numerous products

Fuentes del Algar

Fuentes del Algar is a true natural reserve and an oasis for resting, unwinding, and relaxing. It has numerous waterfalls, natural crystal-clear pools, and lush vegetation.

It’s also a great place for hiking, as there are many marked trails to enjoy the panoramic views and discover the area’s flora and fauna. We recommend comfortable footwear, as although there are signs and directions in the area, you need to be fit to climb up to the river’s source.

It’s worth noting that the water is freezing, but most people swim in the pools and natural pools to cool off from the high temperatures.

At the entrance, there are several restaurants where you can eat, as well as souvenir shops. The main feature of these restaurants is the quality of their food, and most of them have pools.

This natural enclave is located in the town of Callosa d’en Sarrià, just 15 kilometres from Benidorm, about a 30-minute drive.

Altea

The town of Altea is considered one of the most beautiful in Spain, a true Mediterranean gem just a few kilometres from Benidorm. You can also take the tram at a very low cost, although this town has three stops, so be sure to stop at the one with the same name as the town.

The white and blue houses, steep cobbled streets, and the distinctive blue dome of the church make it a magical and artistic place. For many years, Altea has been a refuge for artists and painters who have drawn inspiration from Altea.

Historic centre is the liveliest area, with several viewpoints offering wonderful views of the beach and the harbour. There is also a wide range of restaurants, as well as numerous local craft shops.

The beach is small but very peaceful and welcoming, although it’s a pebble beach. On the other hand, it has a beautiful promenade, which is very lively in the afternoons and evenings.

Have you decided on one of the one-day excursions from Benidorm? You can also book our lockers by the hour so that the route is easier. We look forward to seeing you.
