This February, the capital will be filled with dazzling parades, shows and activities that transport us straight to the streets of Beijing. Want to know more? Read on to learn more about how Madrid celebrates Chinese New Year in style.    <\/p>\n<h2>Madrid prepares to welcome the Year of the Dragon<\/h2>\n<p>For the ninth consecutive year, the splendid city of Madrid is transformed into a stage where Chinese culture comes to life. To commemorate the beginning of the Year of the Dragon, which will take place on Saturday, February 10, the city council has prepared a very interesting program of activities. From February 2 to 29 you have the opportunity to soak up Chinese culture and this magnificent festival. In <g id=\"gid_0\">LOCK &amp; enjoy! <\/g>we tell you what plans you can not miss. Take note!    <\/p>\n<h3>Spring Market<\/h3>\n<p>The<strong> Spring Market<\/strong> will take place on<strong> February 9, 10 and 11. <\/strong>The Plaza Junta Municipal del Distrito de Usera will become the epicenter of the crafts and gastronomy of this fascinating country. There is no better plan than getting lost among the different <g id=\"gid_2\">stands<\/g> contemplating all kinds of crafts and products. You will also have the opportunity to see exhibitions of traditional painting or see live the art of Chinese calligraphy.   <\/p>\n<h3>Chinese New Year Festival<\/h3>\n<p>As we mentioned, the Year of the Dragon will officially begin on Saturday, February 10. To commemorate it, a great celebration with music by DJ Yang awaits you at the <g id=\"gid_0\">Pradolongo Park<\/g> from 6 to 8:15 pm. The party will end with a great fireworks display.  <\/p>\n<h3>Chinese New Year Grand Parade<\/h3>\n<p>More than a thousand artists, live music, dances, traditional costumes and three imposing dragons will take to the streets of Madrid&#8217;s Chinatown. It will be on Sunday, February 11, from 12 to 15 hours. Three hours of spectacle, emotion and color for the whole family to enjoy. Finally, Usera also hosts a tasting of tea and pastries.     <\/p>\n<h3>Spring Race<\/h3>\n<p>Sports enthusiasts have one more reason to visit Madrid. On February 18, the Spring Race will take place, another way to welcome the New Year. This activity will start and finish at <strong>Paseo de Recoletos<\/strong> and will pass through Plaza de Col\u00f3n, Plaza Castilla and the vicinity of the Santiago Bernab\u00e9u stadium, depending on the distance you choose. You can choose between 5, 8 or 16 kilometers.   <\/p>\n<h3>Chinese Temple Fair<\/h3>\n<p>On February 24 and 25 you have an appointment with Chinese theater, art and culture.
