It is located in the municipality of G\u00e1ldar, approximately 30 kilometers from Las Palmas. In this museum you can contemplate <g id=\"gid_1\">the mural painting and the artistic expression<\/g> of the ancient Canary Islanders. In addition, it has a reference center so that you can have a broader idea about the pre-Hispanic era of the island.   <\/p>\n<p>To take into account during the visit:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The museum is open almost all year round, except for holidays and Mondays.<\/li>\n<li>General admission is 6 euros, but there are discounts for students and minors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Four Doors<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Cuatro Puertas archaeological site is located in the municipality of Telde. It is a <g id=\"gid_0\">cave<\/g> excavated entirely by hand. It has a peculiar internal architecture, since the four large doors open onto a horizontal platform.  <\/p>\n<p>The origin or use has not yet been confirmed, but some studies suggest that this cave was used by the aboriginal Canary Islanders for the practice of <strong>magical or religious activities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Maip\u00e9s Necropolis<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At <strong>LOCK &amp; enjoy!<\/strong> we advise you to visit this area, as it is one of the most amazing in terms of archeology. You have to go to a fishing village called Agaete to visit it. <\/p>\n<p>It is an immense necropolis with a considerable number of <strong>burial mounds<\/strong>. This fact is a good example of the importance of funeral rites for the aborigines of the island. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Ca\u00f1ada de los Gatos<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This archaeological site is located in the town of <strong>Mog\u00e1n<\/strong> and is one of the most complete for its historical, economic and social importance at the time. Proof of this is that it has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest. <\/p>\n<p>It is a settlement located on the coast, hence the ancient inhabitants of the island did not choose it by chance. The good climate, the running water coming down from the ravine and the good land were the reasons for them to settle more than 1300 years ago. <\/p>\n<p>Nowadays, it can be visited by means of a tour that covers the different areas of the settlement in order to learn about the way the inhabitants used to live there.  <strong>Enjoy this route and its spectacular views!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ansite Fortress<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The fortress of Ansite (Santa Luc\u00eda de Tirajana) is, for us, one of the most amazing places of the whole island. It has a <g id=\"gid_0\">great historical value<\/g>. The reason is that, according to several historical studies, the last great battle of the conquest of Gran Canaria by the Kingdom of Castile took place here.  <\/p>\n<p>It is a very steep rock that houses hundreds of <strong>caves<\/strong> that served as rooms, barns and burial chambers. Considering that it is a complex place to visit without knowing the history in detail, we recommend that you go to the interpretation center and the museum. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Canarian Museum of Archaeology<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And, of course, the Canarian Museum of Archaeology is a must visit if you like this science. If you are in the capital of Gran Canaria, you can visit it and it doesn&#8217;t take more than an hour to go through all its rooms and spaces. <\/p>\n<p>The aim is to give you an overview of the different ways in which the <strong> <em>Canarii<\/em> people<\/strong> organized themselves <strong> <em>.<\/em><\/strong><em> <\/em>(name given to the aborigines of the Canary Islands).
