For example, in Madrid it was organized for the first time in 1929, being one of the oldest in Spain. <\/p>\n<p>It is a parade that recreates the arrival of the Three Wise Men to bring gifts to the baby Jesus, a journey in which they were guided by a star.<\/p>\n<p>In the past, this festivity had a rather religious character due to its Christian tradition. The floats that parade along the marked route depict biblical scenes with children and adult characters.  <\/p>\n<p>It is a wonderful opportunity to bring the whole family together and share unique moments and, in addition, to enjoy the illuminated streets of the capital.<\/p>\n<h2>Tour<\/h2>\n<p>This Christmas event takes place on <strong>Sunday, January 5,<\/strong> just before Three Kings Day (a national holiday throughout the country). The Three Kings Parade begins at 6:30 pm and ends at approximately 9:00 pm. <\/p>\n<p>The <strong>official route<\/strong> of the <strong>Three Kings Parade in Madrid<\/strong> is similar to previous years. It starts in the Paseo de la Castellana, more specifically in the Plaza de San Juan de la Cruz, to continue to the Plaza del Doctor Mara\u00f1\u00f3n and Paseo de Recoletos. And, finally, in the famous Plaza de Cibeles.  <\/p>\n<p>In the Plaza de San Juan de la Cruz the most outstanding characters will be welcomed: <strong>Melchior, Gaspar and Balthazar<\/strong>, the 3 kings. We would like to highlight that in Cibeles a small closing act is organized with a speech of the Three Kings for the little ones and a small fireworks show is also organized. <\/p>\n<p>In <strong>LOCK &amp; enjoy!<\/strong> we explain you which are the best places to enjoy this activity:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you go to the Plaza de San Juan de la Cruz you will be among the first to see the arrival of the Three Kings. In addition, you can also see the many floats that are parked before they advance through the streets. <\/li>\n<li>Paseo de Recoletos is the widest, but less crowded. We have prepared a small guide with a series of tips for you to enjoy it to the maximum without complications. <\/p>\n<p>First of all, choose a <strong>front row<\/strong> seat. To do this, we recommend you to come well in advance of the starting time. Otherwise the little ones will not enjoy the event. Another option is to choose a place that is as high up as possible.   <\/p>\n<p>Keep in mind that in the month of January in Madrid it is <strong>very cold<\/strong>, so it is essential to be warm (hat, scarf, gloves, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>Take all the necessary precautions not to lose sight of the children, since in this event it is easy for them to get distracted by any detail and get lost.<\/p>\n<p>And finally, don&#8217;t forget to bring a <strong>small bag to collect all the candies that the Three Kings throw from the floats<\/strong>. It is one of the moments that visitors like the most. Keep in mind that small gifts are also thrown, although it is more difficult to catch them.  <\/p>\n<h2>Enjoy the Rosc\u00f3n de Reyes!<\/h2>\n<p>Once the Cabalgata de Reyes is over, the tradition continues with the famous Rosc\u00f3n de Reyes. It is one of the most typical sweets of the <a href=\"https:\/\/lockandenjoy.com\/en\/que-hacer-en-madrid-en-navidad-2024\/\"><strong>Christmas in Madrid<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>It is a bun made with a sweet, round dough and candied fruit in various colors. Over the years this product has evolved and is now also sold filled with cream, truffle or chocolate. The rosc\u00f3n they sell is completely handmade, since it is spongy and soft on the inside, as well as crunchy and toasted on the outside. In their offer you can find the traditional rosc\u00f3n, although they also have it with milk truffle.
